Dr Devika Thomas graduated from the University of Tasmania with
First Class Honours for her thesis on the pathology of Alzheimer's
and Parkinson's diseases. She obtained her MBBS from Flinders
University, South Australia, in 2000. She has extensive clinical
experience, having completed surgical training at Flinders, Royal
Adelaide, Queen Elizabeth and Christchurch (NZ) Hospitals. She
obtained a Master of Surgery by research from the University of
Adelaide. She completed chemical pathology training at SA Pathology
and was the Head of Biochemistry at Dorevitch Pathology, Melbourne,
and Acting Head of Chemical Pathology at Royal North Shore Hospital
(Sydney) labs. She has been a consultant for Adelaide Pathology
Partners since 2011. Her clinical involvement continues with
Metabolic Bone disease clinics at Royal Adelaide Hospital.
