Dr Phillips graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2005.
She spent time working in Adelaide and overseas before commencing
Anatomical Pathology training at ACT Pathology in Canberra in 2012.
She completed her first 4 years of training in Canberra, before
moving to Western Australia to complete her final year of training
at St John of God Pathology in Subiaco. Dr Phillips completed her
training and gained fellowship to the Royal College of Pathologists
of Australasia in 2017, and joined Clinpath the same year.
